Our Story

Born from a Love of Real Flavor

El Tropical Bar and Grill wasn't started to fill a gap in Newburgh's restaurant scene — it was started because the people behind it couldn't stop cooking. What began as weekend gatherings with family recipes that had been guarded for decades quickly became something the whole neighborhood wanted a seat at.

Every marinade is mixed from scratch. Every jerk spice blend is balanced by hand. We source locally whenever we can and never cut corners on flavor. That's not a marketing line — it's just how we were raised.
